Barcelona defender Pique explains fans clash during Catalonia triumph

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique admits admonishing the crowd during Catalonia's victory over Venezuela.

Pique was upset with the anti-Spain chants from a minority of the support.

"I have told them to keep quiet because we have to preach by example, it is intolerable to be disrespectful, we must not disrespect," said Pique.

Pique also insisted Spain will be fine without him after his international retirement.

"There are a lot of young and good players, but if there is not me, it does not mean there are not quality people: Íñigo Martínez, Sergi Gómez, Mario Hermoso ... There is a lot of quality and they need minutes and they feel confident.

"I do not regret it, I needed to disconnect, and that gives me life, the legs work for this rest."
