Barcelona defender Gerard Pique insists he's ready to take the pitch again.

Pique turned 34 years old on Tuesday, and a return to full training is the best present he could have wished for.

The defender posted on social media to express his happiness after taking part in sprints, ball work and physical exercises at Barcelona's training ground.

"The best present. I'm back," wrote Pique.

His timing could also be perfect for Ronald Koeman, who hasn't ruled out the defender playing against Paris Saint-Germain on February 16 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Pique hasn't played since injuring his right knee against Atletico Madrid last November.
