Barcelona defender Gerard Pique says he sometimes cuts his sleep to four hours a night due to outside business interests.

Pique has a number of business ventures with his company Kosmos, the latest being the revamp of the tennis competition the Davis Cup.

He confessed in an interview that his obsession with the organisation of the tournament, which takes place in Madrid next week, has seen him sleep less than ever.

"I hardly get four or five hours of sleep a night," he told El Pais Semanal. "I don't have time for everything."

Pique is trying to combine his other interests with Barcelona training, given he has now retired from international football with Spain.

He says it hasn't caused any problems with Barcelona, who understand his choices: "They have understood and there are no problems. I use my free time to dedicate myself to what I like doing."
