Former Barcelona defender Jose Ramon Alexanko believes Lionel Messi demands total commitment from his teammates.

And he reckons Antoine Griezmann will need to understand this if he is to join them from Atletico Madrid.

"[Messi] is clever enough not to involve himself in transfer issues," Alexanko told Radio MARCA. "Therefore, he's the technical secretary.

"Messi can find his own teammates, but only those that focus solely on sport.

"Griezmann is good enough for Barcelona and sporting matters go above everything else," Alexanko said.
