Barcelona continue their push into China

Barcelona have agreed a deal with All Star Partners that sees the marketing agency produce club-branded merchandise for the Chinese market, according to Palco23, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The arrangement will apparently also see the La Liga club get their products placed on Chinese ecommerce platform Tmall, expanding Barca's reach beyond Nike's online store , currently their sole merchandise distributer in the country.

In a bid to tap into the local market, All Star Partners will produce merchandise that does not seek to replicate what is sold in Europe, instead creating a line of products focusing on Chinese consumers, according to the Spanish sports business outlet. These new products reportedly include Barca-branded red envelopes used to give money at Chinese New Year and traditional parasols.

The move continues Barca's stated aim to expand their reach in China.
