Barcelona comms chief Josep Vives insists VAR has hurt their campaign.

Real Madrid again had the rub of the green for Sunday's win over Athletic Bilbao.

"Nobody can doubt the leadership role Barcelona took on with relation to implementing VAR in LaLiga, but there has been no fairness, one team has greatly benefitted," Vives confirmed to the press.

"Nobody doubts the technology itself, that would be absurd, we continue to defend VAR, but the application of some of the rules needs to be improved.

"The president gave an opinion and verified some facts, it seems that, at times, there is very little equality in terms of decisions."
