Barcelona coach Xavi: Spectacular if Fati makes Bayern Munich clash

Barcelona coach Xavi is counting on Ansu Fati being fit for their final Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

Ansu, 19, was injured in the 3-3 draw with Celta Vigo just a few weeks after returning from a knee injury. He had scored four goals in eight appearances.

His latest injury is a hamstring one and everyone is hopeful he will be back for the Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich, a game Barça must win.

"Ansu is doing well and feeling good," Xavi said Friday when asked for an update. "After a long injury, though, he picked up this muscle injury and we must be careful. We will see if we take a risk or not.

"There are moments [when you should], like with Ousmane who made a big effort to be there on Tuesday without being 100 percent. It was a titanic effort for the team and I'm grateful.

"We will have to make the same assessment with Ansu, but it depends on the player, how he feels. He's an important player and we can't lose him again. It will be spectacular for us if he is back for Bayern, but we will see how the player feels."
