Barcelona coach Xavi admits he wants a new deal for captain Sergi Busquets.

The midfielder has been putting in some great performances in recent weeks for Barça and Xavi was asked about his future.

The coach answered in a clear and categorical way: "The decision will be his. We are waiting. He is a very important person for the club, both on and off the pitch. He is the captain.

"He has earned the right to decide his future. I'd be delighted if he stayed for another year."

The decision, as Xavi says, will be up to him, but what is certain is that Barcelona will put an offer on the table for him to continue for another year.
