Barcelona coach Xavi hoping for two more additions this month

Barcelona coach Xavi is hoping for two more additions this month.

Sport says Barcelona are heading into the final week of the transfer window with uncertainty. They want to reinforce but their salary cap won't allow it.

However Xavi considers the arrival of a striker key, and Alvaro Morata is his priority. He would also like a full back who can play on either side. Difficult, but not impossible.

Ansu Fati's injury has affected the coach for the worse. He trusted in the youngster's goalscoring ability but he could be out for the coming months. Dembele's situation is also a worry because it could leave the team with a lack of pace and goals in attack. Luuk de Jong is looking increasingly likely to stay until June now.

At this point, Barcelona cannot manage to register Morata, who is on-loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid, unless something changes; Dembele departing or signing a new contract.

Xavi would like a left back on loan at low cost, not believing Alejandro Balde is capable for now. Dest seems like he will stay, meanwhile, and take a decision on his future in June.
