Barcelona coach Xavi frustrated after Granada draw

Barcelona coach Xavi was left frustrated after their 1-1 draw with Granada.

Luuk de Jong scored the opening goal of the game in the 57th minute, having thought he had originally done so in the first half, but Antonio Puertas fired the ball beyond Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the 89th minute to secure a point for the Andalusians.

“We lacked depth, then the goal came, that's the hardest thing and after that it was the same thing as what happened in Pamplona," said Xavi.

"The situation needed patience. Having the ball. Playing in the opponent's half, but we lost silly balls. We have to be self-critical. They were our errors. Before the red card we could have killed it off and done more to win. The game could have been sealed with a 2-0. We have to be self-critical and grow. They are things we train on but it's hard for us to do them."

On Gavi's red, he said: “I don't talk about the ref, but the consequences of the red card. You have a man less and have to retreat, and it's hard for us to do that. We suffered on corners and free kicks. We lost two points because of our errors."
