Barcelona coach Valverde tells Bartomeu to sell three outcasts

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has told president Josep Maria Bartomeu to dump three senior players.

Valverde wants to see his squad streamlined over the winter market, offloading those he isn't interested in counting on for the future.

Don Balon says the coach has told his president to find clubs for three of his players: Arda Turan, Rafinha and Gerard Deulofeu.

Turan has long been on the outer at Barca, while Rafinha is returning from serious knee injury and is another not in Valverde's plans.

Deulofeu was only signed in the summer from Everton, but has failed to convince Valverde. A return to Italy at Napoli has been mooted for the former AC Milan winger.
