Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde scoffed at one reporter's question ahead of their Champions League clash with Lyon.

He joked that his side would sit back in the second leg against Lyon and hope for something on the counter attack.

"I don't really understand the question, when you're asking about a defensive team are you referring to Lyon or to us?" he responded, before a sarcastic follow-up.

"Us? Yes, of course we're very defensive.

"We'll try to shut up shop and not allow them to score and, if we're lucky score one of our own."
