Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has recommended a double raid on Manchester United.

Valverde accepts Andre Gomes must be moved on in January with little chance of the Portuguese enjoying a major role in his first team plans.

Diario Gol says the coach has discussed potential replacements for Gomes with directors and recommended two United midfielders - Juan Mata and Ander Herrera.

Both players are entering the final six months of their current deals and are regarded highly by Valverde, who worked with Herrera at Athletic Bilbao.

The coach believes both players would jump at the chance of moving to Barca - even if they were not guaranteed a regular game.
