Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde paid tribute to Andres Iniesta after their 1-0 win against Real Sociedad.
The match marked Iniesta's last with the club.
"We wanted to compete and win, but today was Andres' day and the crowd made it special," Valverde said to Barca TV after the game.
"I wanted to change things at the end of the game, to coincide with Leo on the field... It was the right moment."
Valverde suggested that Iniesta's legacy will last for years to come.
"These types of players will be talked about long into the future," he continued.
"They are unrepeatable, historical players that everyone will remember."
