Barcelona coach Valverde defends Mina after Levante fire home five

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde had no complaints after their 5-4 defeat to Levante.

Barca hadn't conceded three times in any match this season, but let in five on this occasion.

"We haven't been solid, every time they attacked they scored," he explained in his post-match press conference.

"It's not normal for us to concede five goals.

"Levante have played well with freedom and we haven't been able to control them.

"We went to sleep, thinking we could automatically lift our performance in the second half."

Valverde added: "When you look at the score, you assume Yerry Mina had a bad day.

"Yerry Mina showed personality at certain moments of the match and I haven't seen him make a mistake, you have to take into account how good our opponent was."
