Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman admits he's been impressed by Konrad de la Fuente in preseason.

Konrad caught Koeman's eye in the friendly win over Girona, with the Dutch coach stating in his post-match interview that Barcelona have a good future with the likes of Pedri, Riqui Puig and Konrad.

"If I had to single out one of the youngsters [who played against Girona], I would say Konrad. I'm very happy with him," Koeman said.

"But we also have Pedri, Riqui... We have a great future ahead of us."

Konrad also spoke after the match, assuring that it is a dream to be playing in the Barcelona first team, even if it is only pre-season.

"I am very happy to have this opportunity to play in the first team," he noted.

"It has been my goal and dream since I was a child and I am happy to make it come true.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity I have been given.

"Now I have to believe in myself and have confidence.

"Being here, in the first team, with the best players in the world, makes you much better as a player and I'm taking advantage of it to learn from them."
