Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has concerns about Gerard Pique's relationship with Joan Laporta.
Cuatro reports Koeman is worried about Pique having an influence on the board as he fights for his job.
The coach is suspicious of Piqué's close relationship with Laporta. However, the president somewhat surprisingly publicly expressed his confidence in the Dutch coach in the run-up to the loss at Atlético Madrid (2-0).
But Koeman remains under pressure and after the defeat in Madrid, Pique stated: "We could have played for three hours and we would not have scored a goal."
The experienced defender did not want to comment on the situation between Koeman and chairman Laporta.
“We cannot interfere with that. We're not going to respond to anything they say. We have to do our best on the field."
