Barcelona coach Koeman on carpark chaos: They have no values

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman was eager to ease the tension with fans today after Sunday's scenes at the Nou Camp carpark.

After defeat at home to Real Madrid, Koeman's car was mobbed by fans calling for his resignation as he attempted to drive away from the stadium.

Ahead of their midweek clash with Rayo Vallecano, Koeman said this morning: "I don't think there is a solution. For me it is more a social problem, it is not a matter of their being Catalans. It is more a matter of education, they have no values.

"The environment in the stadium was extraordinary even at 0-2. We don't have to pay much attention, and it seems that it was only with me, but it has been with many players, with their families. It may be that with me it has been more exaggerated, but even Carles Puyol had it when they lost.

"The club knows that this cannot be repeated and has to find another formula. It should not be given more attention, it is a social problem that happens all over the world, not only here."

Koeman also said: "It is true that I do not like it, I prefer applause to this, but once again, people know the situation of the club and the team, without looking at a disappointing result against it.

"I am older in this, I want to enjoy the atmosphere that there was the other day in the stadium. I accept the results. I want to enjoy, if it is eight years, eight years, if it is one year, one and yes it's three months, three months."
