Barcelona coach Koeman: I haven't spoken to Laporta; Alemany and Planes know my plans

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman admits he hasn't heard from president Joan Laporta about next season.

Ahead of the final game of the campaign against Eibar, Koeman was asked about his situation this morning.

He said, "I do not know, really, I have not spoken with the president since the lunch of weeks ago. We met to talk and I from the first day said that I want to continue, fulfill my contract and the president has the last word. Let's see...

"In the last month you have to respect the coach more, our players. I understand that they do not deserve this treatment, that they deserve much more respect.

"There are many things that need to be done differently.

"For the players it is a difficult week. The atmosphere is not the best now, it is clear. It has been painful for some players what happened in the last days, it is normal. It is necessary to talk about the new situation, the future."

He added: "I have done what I must as a coach, plan preseason, signings, departures ... until today after the intermission I have spoken with (Ramon) Planes, (Mateo) Alemany about details of the next season. It is my job and I would like to do it. I do it for the love of the club and my job, nothing more."
