Barcelona coach Koeman admits Pique could see PSG action

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman won't rule out Gerard Pique playing tonight against Champions League opponents PSG.

Pique trained as normal on Monday morning and he's expected to be part of the Catalans' matchday squad on Tuesday.

"He's okay," Koeman said on the defender.

"He has been with the group for four or five days. The feelings are good and I have one more day to decide [if he'll take part]."

PSG star Neymar suffered a blow against Caen that will rule him out for close to a month and the Dutchman agrees with the player's calls for more protection from officials.

"You have to protect this type of player," Koeman said when asked about Neymar in his pre-match press conference.

"Players like Neymar, [Lionel] Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo...

"Because they are the players who allow us to enjoy ourselves. Referees have to protect them, although there is contact in this sport."
