Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has urged Valencia striker David Villa to hold his nerve.

Sport says Guardiola has spoken with Villa to assure him he remains a priority signing, despite claims from Valencia president Manuel Llorente that he will only be sold for £50 million.

The Barca coach told Villa to stay patient and give him time to force Valencia's hand. The striker agreed and is prepared to sit tight to achieve his dream move to the Nou Camp.
