Barcelona coach Guardiola puts Man Utd, Chelsea on alert admitting English ambition

Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola admits he has ambitions to work in England.

Guardiola admits he has not ruled out managing in England one day.

Asked the question ahead of last night's Catalan derby against Espanyol, he said: "As a player I was interested (in playing there) but it was not possible.

"I would not rule it out.

"It is not something I have planned yet but because of the nature of this job, I know I will not be here forever or even for many years.

"I don't rule it out but neither is it something I am planning at the moment."

Chelsea have in the past shown an interest in employing the hugely successful Guardiola, 39, and Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with him as a long-term replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger.
