Barcelona coach Luis Enrique says Barcelona fullback Jordi Alba deserves his recall.

Enrique insists Alba deserves his selection today.

"I'm not going to make decisions based on popular opinion and public clamour for so-and-so," Enrique said.

"The decision making has to be clear and I think that the best thing for the national team is for him to come back now.

"Nothing has changed with respect to the previous squads, there is no problem with any player and I have shown that.

"Nobody who is here knows Jordi better than this coaching staff and it was a professional decision, nothing more.

"There are many factors which influence these decisions: their current form, their team's statistics, their teammates...

"We make decisions knowing that there will be many who don't agree with them but we will continue making them and doing it the same way.

"He will be one of the captains and I have nothing that needs to be fixed with Jordi Alba, everyone will be treated the same way."
