Barcelona comms chief Josep Vives acknowledges Gerard Pique has had problems with local driving authorities.
However, Vives was reluctant to discuss the matter.
"It was not in the order of the day because it is part of the private life of people. This will have to be solved by him," responded Vives.
"As a club we have not planted a sanction on him. Nor can he be sanctioned twice for the same thing.
"(But) obviously the club speaks with all employees when things like this happen, but we will not disclose the content of the conversations. We've spoken with Pique."
Vives was also asked about how Liverpool sanctioned Salah when he was caught while driving with a mobile phone.
Vives explained that "we respect what Liverpool did" and once again stressed that "the situation occurred in the context of his private life. If it is punishable, it is sanctioned through the regulatory channel. There is a principle that sanctioning twice for the same conduct is unfair."
