Barcelona vice-president Jordi Mestre has made it clear they want Daniel Alves to stay.
The fullback's contract expires at the end of this month.
Mestre stated: "I completely respect what Dani has said recently, but if we didn't want him to stay at the club, then we wouldn't have made him an offer.
"We count on his services for the future and we feel that the offer is competitive. The ball is in his court and we just hope that he makes his mind up sooner rather than later."
