Barcelona youth chief Patrick Kluivert is delighted seeing Frenkie de Jong make the impact he has.

Like Kluivert, De Jong came through the system at Ajax before joining Barca this season.

"Did Barça ask me about Frenkie De Jong? I said that he could bring a lot to the team and he is demonstrating it.

"He can still give more because it is his first year," said Kluivert.

The midfielder, 22, is now established as a first-choice under coach Ernesto Valverde.
