Barcelona chief Eric Abidal insists the arrival of Jeison Murillo will not work against their youth policy.

Murillo has arrived on-loan from Valencia.

Abidal said, "Our bet on the juniors is still the same, it does not change anything.

"Now it's time to compete and here the coach is happy to welcome him. I hope that in the future players continue to rise as they have done so far.

"We are always attentive to what happens in the market."
