Barca cannot afford to sign Rodriguez currently due to their record swoop for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Instead, they're attempting to broker terms similar to their previous agreement with Santos for Neymar, where they would welcome Rodriguez to the Nou Camp in 12 months' time.
