Barcelona turned 122 years old on Monday, November 29.

It was in 1899 in the Sole gym that the club was first founded by Hand Gamper, who was the soul of the entity during the first 25 years of its existence.

Since then, Barça have become one of the biggest references in the sporting world and are the biggest multi-sport club in the world.

Barça celebrate their birthday by making more history tonight. At the Ballon d'Or gala in Paris, two players formed in La Masia have been named the best players in the world: Lionel Messi and Alexia Putellas. Both were the favourites to win the award in their respective categories, while another Barça player, Pedri, has won the Kopa Trophy for the best under-21 player in the world.
