Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has been left unimpressed by the way Ernesto Valverde was sacked on Monday.

Valverde was sacked and replaced by Quique Setien on Monday - with Messi angry with the whole handling of the situation.

That's according to Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, while speaking on El Chiringuito.

Inda revealed, "He is upset by the ways in which the Barça board has dealt with the removal of Valverde.

"He is deeply indignant."

Messi paid a glowing tribute to Valverde yesterday on social media: "Thank-you to the coach. I'm sure where you go, you will be great because in addition to being a great professional, you are a magnificent person."
