Barcelona captain Sergi Busquets has ruled out 'doing an Alemany' as he prepares for his departure.
Barca sporting director Mateu Alemany has committed to the new season after initially announcing his departure earlier this month.
"They told me to do a 'Mateu Alemany', but no... I am a person of my word. I've felt supported since I made the announcement and even the president told me to decide for myself, that I deserved it and I had earned it," Busquets said at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
"I wanted to leave playing, being important, winning titles. And the timing was perfect. Besides, the last two years had been very hard.
"They didn't go in the best way, to be honest. Besides, I was looking forward to a family adventure".
