Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa has offered some support to Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Former Barca president Bartomeu spent last night in a jail cell after being detained as part of an investigation into the Barcagate social media scandal.
For Freixa, things don't add up, as he explained: “It is very painful for any member. It makes us feel very sad. The last three presidents that I have met, Núñez, Rosell and Bartomeu, have been detained.
"I don't know who wins doing this, but I do know who loses: Barça. This comes from a demand from a group of members, just like Neymar who started from a demand from a member. It always starts with friendly fire and then our enemies take advantage of it. I'm sure there is an intention to harm the club.
"There is a summary secret and the Mossos have even made a tweet informing what they were doing. Tonight a former president of Barça is sleeping in a dungeon. And that doesn't mean he doesn't have to pay for it if he's done something wrong, but all of this repels me greatly. The arrests do not arrive at the request of court number 13. I would like to know who it is that has given the order then."
