Barcelona are calm over rival Premier League interest arriving for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

Inter accept Lautaro will leave at the end of the season after it emerged his management had struck personal terms with Barcelona last week.

With his deal carrying a €111m buyout clause, Inter will be powerless if Barca choose to meet the option.

Sport says Manchester City and Chelsea would be willing to better Martinez's buyout clause - a situation Barca are aware of - but the Catalans are unconcerned given the positive progress of talks with the player's representatives.

Martinez is excited by Barca's plans for him and the prospect of playing his club football with Argentina teammate Lionel Messi.

While Messi has championed Martinez's signing to the board this season, the striker also has a fan in Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu. Bartomeu recognises Barca needs a 'new star' to lift the fans and believes Martinez fits the bill.
