Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez is doing his best to convince Ousmane Dembele to renew his contract.

The French winger is out of contract at the end of the month, but has yet to agree new terms with the Catalan giants.

He is also wanted by the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Goal.com, Xavi is a huge admirer of Dembele and believes he can be vital to the team in the coming season.

He is hoping that he can work on convincing Dembele to remain at Barca, despite issues he had with the club's board in recent months.

One factor that may work in Barca's favour is that although Dembele has clubs interested in his signature, he has not received a lucrative offer beating the terms they are offering him.
