Barcelona B coach Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta has penned a new contract to 2021.

At his signing ceremony, president Josep Maria Bartomeu was there, along with sporting director Eric Abidal and Barca B chief Xavier Vilajoana.

"I am very happy to stay linked to the club, to keep learning and that the players are improving day to day, because we have the challenge of forming the best players in the world to arrive in Barca's first team," said Garcia Pimienta.

"I have the luck of having lived this style since I was very little, first as a player and now as a coach. I've always believed in this philosophy, this way of playing and this Barca style. It's not easy to be at this club so long. I started coaching Cadete A and now I'm at Barca B."
