Barcelona and Koeman at odds over compo pay-off

Barcelona and Ronald Koeman are at odds over his payout following last week's sacking.

The Dutchman was axed last week and via AS, Radio Cataluyna reports Barca offered the Dutchman between €7-8m to settle his contract - a proposal that has received a 'no' from the coach's camp.

Insead, Koeman refers to the full agreement: €12m.

Koeman is also owed €5m by Barca courtesy of a clause in his contract which was compensation for what he paid to buy himself out of his KNVB deal as Holland coach. Former Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu had agreed to a clause in Koeman's deal that he would be compensated for the fee he paid to release him from his Holland contract should he not be in charge for season 2021/22.

A source said Koeman is insisting "what was signed must be fulfilled".

Inside Barca, there's a growing acceptance they'll be facing a bill of over €16m after president Joan Laporta chose to dump Koeman last week.
