Barcelona and Gavi have hinted an agreement over a new contract is close.

Marca says Gavi, 17, was one of the players chosen to model the new Barcelona away kit to be worn throughout the 2022/23 season.

With a proud and happy expression on his face, Gavi appears modelling the new strip beneath the caption "ready to shine", as posted on the club's official Twitter account.

This post could be a nod to the fact that talks are going well and the club is confident that a new deal tying the midfielder down long term will be announced very soon.

The Spain international's current contract expires in 2023 and the Blaugrana want to extend that to 2028, as well as upping his release clause to one billion euros.
