Barcelona are in talks with Ajax pair Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong.

Both defender De Ligt and midfielder De Jong have been scouted extensively by Barca this season, with director Robert Fernandez making several personal checks.

Ajax are aware of Barca's interest and accept they may lose the young duo this summer.

However, El Mundo Deportivo says both players have concerns about their pathway at Barca and advisers believe going to the Nou Camp at this stage in their careers could be a mistake.

Barca understand the concerns and talks have also centred around if a deal cannot be done this summer, then securing first refusal from De Ligt and De Jong would be the next best thing.
