Barcelona add Garcia to Lautaro transfer priorities with massive clearout planned

Barcelona have added Manchester City defender Eric Garcia to their summer transfer priority, Lautaro Martinez.

Barca haven't dropped their pursuit of Inter Milan star Lautaro, having already struck personal terms with the Argentina international's agents.

Sport says Barca also want Garcia as a matter of priority and are pushing to sell a raft of fringe players to fund cash offers for both players.

The aim is to sell as soon as possible Philippe Coutinho, Jean-Clair Todibo, Martin Braithwaite, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti before going to City and Inter with revised offers for Garcia and Lautaro respectively.

Barca are confident of landing Garcia for €12m, while they will need to find €70m cash - plus include Junior Firpo - to convince Inter to sell Lautaro. The two clubs have agreed to price Firpo at €41m, so meeting the player's original €111m buyout clause.
