Barcelona ace Lionel Messi insists he and Antoine Griezmann get along well.

It's long been claimed Messi has been unimpressed by Griezmann - both on the pitch and in the dressing room - since his €120m arrival from Atletico Madrid 18 months ago.

But he told La Sexta: "We have a good relationship, I have already said it, I have no problem, everything that has been said is false, it is very clear.

"The relationship is good, we even take mate together often, in the locker room, when traveling.

"People consume the media and believe everything, and really think that I make the lines, the transfers, that I choose the coach, but the reality is very far from it."
