Barcelona ace Luis Suarez admits the way he left Ajax still grates on him.

Suarez left for Liverpool halfway through the 2011/12 title winning season of Ajax.

"When I left we were nine points behind. I can hardly say that Ajax became champion that year thanks to me," he told Ajax Life.

"And one thing is still bothering me: the way I left. I went to Liverpool the moment I was suspended because of the biting incident with Otman Bakkal.

"I really did not have to leave the club like that."
