Barry Bannan says Crystal Palace have never believed they're down.

The Scot was speaking before defeat at Manchester City.

He said: "We've never doubted that we can stay up. With the group of players we've got, and everyone pushing in the right direction, I'm sure we can stay up.

"It's brilliant getting out of the bottom three. There's still a long way to go but we just take each game as it comes and I think we're good enough to stay out of it."
