Patrick Bamford has returned to Chelsea following the early termination of his loan spell at Crystal Palace, reports Sky Sports.

Bamford was due to remain at Selhurst Park until the summer but struggled to make an impact and made just nine first-team appearances.

The 22-year-old failed to score during that spell and a clause in the deal which allowed it to be terminated during the January transfer window has now been exercised.
