Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford has responded to Guus Hiddink's call for the 22-year-old to prove himself by scoring a brace for the Blues' U-21 side in a training ground friendly on Tuesday.
Bamford recently cut short his loan spell at Crystal Palace to return to Stamford Bridge, but is not able to feature in any competitive matches for the Blues if he wishes to move to another Premier League club on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Bamford impressive goal-scoring feats on Tuesday will no doubt catch the eye of Hiddink who earlier said: "He hardly played at Palace so that's why he has to prove himself. He has to make a step because he didn't play so much over there. For the moment, he will stay with the U21s."
