Mario Balotelli is returning to Italy with Serie A new-boys Brescia.

The released Marseille striker has been in talks with Flamengo about a move to Brazil and a contract offer has been received.

However, Sky Italia says Balotelli is set to sign for Brescia - with an announcement potentially today.

Brescia have tabled the striker a €1m-a-season offer, which can reach €3m-a-season in bonuses.

Balotelli, who turned 29 this week, wants to return to Serie A in order to catch the eye of Italy coach Roberto Mancini.
