Mario Balotelli is set to be offloaded by Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

According to The Express, the Reds are likely to discard the Italian striker at the end of the season after scoring four goals in 28 appearances in all competitions since his £16million move from AC Milan last summer.

It is believed that Brendan Rodgers is looking to get rid of former Inter Milan and Manchester City ace Balotelli in order to make room for new signings.

Alongside Balotelli in the likely Anfield exit row is fellow Italian forward Fabio Borini, veteran defenders Glen Johnson and Kolo Toure, left-back Jose Enrique, goalkeeper Brad Jones, experienced forward Rickie Lambert and midfielder Lucas Leiva.
