Eric Bailly was grateful to a number of people after landing Manchester United's Player of the Month award for August.
The Ivory Coast defender enjoyed an impressive opening month for the Red Devils having joined from Villarreal in the summer and says his impressive form is due to the fact that he has been able to settle so well alongside encouraging staff, teammates and one central defensive partner in particular.
"I'll just say that it was easy for me to settle at the beginning. Thanks to my teammates and the technical staff, it's gone very well," the 22-year-old told ManUtd.com.
"I'd like to thank my teammates for all the help they gave me. I'm standing here today thanks to them, with the Manchester United Player of the Month award."
Bailly, who has been in fine form next to Daley Blind, added: "Daley has a lot of experience in the Premier League and the combination between us two has worked very quickly.
"I think it's precisely the manager's strategy: there's a good connection between us. It's important for the defence and I hope it will go on like this."
