The representative of Ajax winger Ryan Babel has confirmed a bid has arrived from Liverpool for the Holland international.

Liverpool are reported to have made a £7 million bid for Babel and the winger's representative, Winnie Haatrechte, told Sportweek: "I can confirm that an official offer has come in from Liverpool. Ryan has not yet spoken with them.

"We'll wait to see what exactly Liverpool want and what their plans are for Ryan. Then later we will consider the financial aspect. But we're not up to that point yet.

"We first must wait to see if the clubs come to an agreement."
