Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta insists their kids are good enough after their thrashing at Manchester United.

Blues boss Frank Lampard defended his team selection and Azpilicueta backed his boss, insisting Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham deserved their place and justified their selection, despite the Old Trafford defeat.

“We trust in them and they're here because they deserve to be here," said the Chelsea captain.

“They're fighting in every training session and now we have a massive opportunity to create a fantastic group.

“Everyone would like to start the season in a better way but we have to learn from every game and come back stronger."
