AZ Alkmaar coach Arne Slot admits they're excited to be drawn with Manchester United in their Europa League group.

AZ managed to reach the group stage after a summer of qualifiers.

Slot said, “If you survive three preliminary rounds, you hope to have at least one opponent who really appeals to the imagination.

"United has certainly succeeded with that.

“We all understand that Manchester United is a very strong opponent. The other two teams (FK Astana and FK Partizan) are slightly more unknown and we will analyse in the coming period to see if we are really going to play a significant role in this group."
